	ODAK GROUP “ODAK” in Turkish means The Focus. Focus is the most balanced intersection of various beams in the universe. Having named the company as such, the mission of the company was virtually defined also. In this respect Odak, by no means, had to reach the foci or balanced targets with the momentum obtained from collective wisdom and teamwork, inside an unlimited vision. ODAK Group of Companies was initiated by Gürcan ORAL, in 1979 with the support and the guidance of the father A.Refik ORAL who up to those years acquired leading posts of the State. Former remains the Chairman of the Board of Directors since then. Since the beginning, ODAK has aimed to introduce new values and quality understanding to the Construction Industry. After 1990, Gürcan’s brothers, Sabri Oral and Soner Oral, joined the company respectively, enabling the company to expand its vision and hence enter into new fields other than Construction. Further this growth, in addition to Construction activities both in Turkey and abroad, ODAK Group of Companies engaged itself respectively in the international Solid Fuel Trade, Coal Imports, Industrial Bags manufacturing, Cosmetics production, and the Administration of Shopping and Entertainment centres. Solid Fuel activities of Odak in particular, with its 15 pct nationwide market share and its involvement in the total of Steel, Cement, Power and Househeating fields, enables Odak the title of not only one of the pioneers of the field, but also gives the privilage of being the field leader. As of Construction, the company implements Project not only in Turkey, but also abroad. In Tatarstan’s capital of Kazan, ODAK completed major Project like, Kremlin, the Opera House, the Town Hall, the Kul Sharif Mosque, the City Sports Hall, the Hippodrome and some other important buildings that determines the city of Kazan’s silhuette. ODAK has been developing continually over the course of twenty-five years. Its engineers and managers acknowledge that the company will be compatible with international standards as long as it maintains high quality, personel integration and teamwork. Implementing this policy, ODAK looks to the future with certainty.
